Naturopath specialising in perimenopause. Adelaide-based, consulting via telehealth Australia-wide, with clients also in New Zealand and the USA.

Not sure where to start, or how Sarah may help you? That's what the free call is for.

Sarah McLachlan, The Perimenopause Naturopath is ready to help you understand what your body wants.

Sarah McLachlan is a naturopath specialising in perimenopause and women's hormonal health, based in Eden Hills, Adelaide, and consulting via telehealth Australia-wide, with clients also in New Zealand and the USA.

That's the formal version. Here's the human one.

I'm Sarah. Naturopath, homeschooling mum of four, and, maybe most importantly, a woman who went through perimenopause while being told I was too young for it. I help women understand what's actually happening in their body during perimenopause, and teach them what to eat, drink, and do to support themselves through this phase of life.

Because perimenopause doesn't have to be a shit show.

WHO I HELP

The Women I Work With

I work with women in their late 30s to mid 50s who are doing all the right things and still getting worse.

You're gaining weight around your middle even though you're eating well. You're awake at 2am with your eyes wide open like it's daytime. You're snapping at people you love over small things, and it doesn't feel like you. Your GP has told you your bloods are "normal", but you don't feel normal.

You've probably already tried low carb, fasting, harder workouts, and a drawer full of supplements. You're not lazy, and you're not broken. You've been handed the wrong strategy for this phase of life.

What you want is simple. To feel like yourself again. To understand what's going on. To know what to eat, drink, and do so this phase goes smoothly instead of taking you out of your own life.

HOW I WORK

Understanding before action

Most perimenopause advice jumps straight to rules. More restriction, more discipline, more pushing. My approach starts somewhere different: understanding.

Perimenopause is a biological transition your body can adjust to when it has the right support. Symptoms like weight gain, broken sleep, and mood changes are signals that something is getting in the way of that adjustment. It might be blood sugar, stress load, thyroid function, gut health, or missing nutrients. When we find what's in the way, we can support it with what you eat, drink, and do.

N

Education first

You'll understand why before we talk about what to do.

N

Real data, not guesses

Functional analysis of your blood pathology, so we work with your body, not a generic protocol.

N

Strategy over restriction

A personalised plan that fits your real life. Family dinners, work, and all.

MY STORY

Why I do this work

I know what it feels like to live in a body that no longer makes sense, and to be told nothing is really wrong.

In my early 40s, my body started changing. I gained 20 kilos in less than a year, despite eating and moving the same. I developed coeliac disease and multiple food allergies. Heavy periods, worse PMS, no energy, and a level of irritability that didn't feel like me. I was told I was too young for perimenopause, so I kept pushing through, and missed the chance to support my body earlier.

What changed everything was personalised nutrition. When I stopped following generic advice and started eating for my own body and this phase of life, I lost 19 kilos in 14 weeks. My energy came back. My moods settled. More importantly, I finally understood what my body had been asking for.

That was the moment I knew there was another way through perimenopause. Now I spend my working life showing other women that way.

Where I practice

I'm based in Eden Hills, Adelaide, and consult exclusively via telehealth, so you can work with me from anywhere in Australia, New Zealand, or the USA. Appointments happen over video from your own home. No waiting rooms, no travel, no car park stress.

Consulting via telehealth Australia-wide, with clients also in New Zealand and the USA. All you need is a phone or laptop and a comfy place to sit.

Conditions I see most often

My special interest areas are perimenopause and menopause, weight changes during perimenopause, insulin resistance, thyroid health, fatigue and low energy, sleep disturbance, mood changes including irritability, anxiety and feeling flat, brain fog, heavy or irregular periods, gut health, and food sensitivities and immune reactivity, including coeliac disease and allergies.

If your symptoms sit in this territory and your tests keep coming back "normal", you're exactly who this practice was built for.

Where to start

If you want to understand what's going on and what support makes sense for you, book a free Clarity Call and we'll work it out together. If you're ready for the full clinical approach, take a look at The Chaos to Calm Method. And if you'd rather start small and self-paced, PerimenoGO was built for exactly that.

Whatever you choose, know this: your body isn't broken, and you don't have to figure this out alone.

Yours in health,

Sarah McLachlan, The Perimenopause Naturopath

Sarah was so helpful and supportive she made my journey so easy.
Once I saw the program I went into it a little skeptical but seeing where Sarah started with her own journey and the results she got it seemed to be a no brainer. Thanks you Sarah for getting my life back on track.
